Best Places to Go in November in India

If you are looking for a place to visit in India, November is an excellent time to travel to some of the best destinations in the country. Some of the most popular places to go in November include Varanasi, Jaisalmer, Pachmarhi, Alwar, and more. Of course, the best time to visit these locations depends on what you are looking for in a holiday.

Varanasi

One of the best places to go in November in the country is Varanasi. The city is home to the Kashi Vishwanath temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (holy places dedicated to Lord Shiva). The city is also an important Hindu pilgrimage and is a popular location for funeral rites. Many people choose to spend their final days in the city and immerse their ashes in the river Ganga.

The food in Varanasi is also famous. Some of the most popular dishes include kachori sabzi, a dish of flattened soaked rice cooked with desi ghee. You can also try the famous chaat, made with mashed potatoes, onions, and green chilies.

Jaisalmer

A desert city with a vibrant atmosphere, Jaisalmer is one of the most beautiful and romantic places to visit in November. You can take a camel safari through the desert and marvel at the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort. You can also tour Jaisalmer’s regal Havelis during a 5-hour private city tour.

Besides the desert, Jaisalmer is also a city that offers beautiful dunes and a freshwater lake. Its forts are hundreds of years old and are worth a visit. The carved stone designs and intricate stonework attract travelers from all over the world. Besides forts, you can enjoy the desert safari and Sam Road dune areas.

Pachmarhi

One of the oldest buildings in Pachmarhi is the Bison Lodge. Built-in 1862, it is now a museum that shows the rich flora and fauna of the area. Another town landmark is the Astachal (Monte Rosa), a cluster of four shelters with paintings. One cave depicts a man playing the Harp, while another depicts a battle scene.

Another scenic attraction in Pachmarhi is the Handi Khoh, a natural rock formation surrounded by dense forest. This place is famous for taking pictures and trekking. It also boasts a 300-foot-high precipice.

Alwar

November in India is one of the best times to travel. It offers a variety of experiences, from snow-blanketed mountains to laid-back beach vacations. If you’re planning a vacation to India, this month is ideal because the weather is more stable. While it may still be sweltering in the north and eastern parts of the country, the weather is generally excellent in the southern and western regions.

Jaisalmer – Located near the Pakistan border, Jaisalmer is one of India’s most beautiful winter destinations. You’ll find old forts and Havelis here, many of which have been converted into heritage hotels.

Jageshwar

The best time to visit Jageshwar is in November. During this month, the average temperature is 69degF (21C), although some travelers describe the weather as moderately cold. In addition, the hottest month is May, while the coldest is January. On average, the daytime temperature in Jageshwar in November is 59degF (15C), and the evening temperature drops to 35degF (2degC).

Jageshwar is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage town located about 30 km from Almora. It is renowned for its Jageshwar Temples and is also home to many tourist attractions. Despite its cold climate, Jageshwar also hosts the famous Jageshwar Yoga Festival. The town has a great variety of accommodation options, from 1-star hotels to budget accommodation.

Khajuraho

One of the best times to visit Khajuraho is during the dry winter season, which runs from November to March. During this season, the area is almost arid, and the climate is more temperate than in summer. However, during this time, the area can become bustling. If you want to avoid crowds, you should plan your trip early in the morning. There is a variety of accommodation available in the area, but you should make reservations in advance.

Visitors to Khajuraho should not miss out on the incredible light, and sound shown on the ancient temples’ outer grounds. This sensory show features the voice of Amitabh Bachchan and is set to enthrall visitors.
